Big thank you to the community of Shoal Lake 40 who made our first RSF Summer Camp a great success! RSF Summer Camps is our campaign to take sports and play to as many Manitoban Communities. Thank you Shoal Lake 40 for having us in your territory!
Thank you also to RSF Bursary winners Tyson Amos and Valentine Adedeji who got a chance to learn about life in the community and help teach community youth about flag football and soccer.
Thank you to RSF Summer Camp lead Chelsea Dubiel who worked with the community to make it all possible. Chelsea is also working on the first construction project being built off of Freedom Road. Awesome to see first hand the opportunities that Freedom Road is providing and community members working hard to make various worthwhile endeavours possible. RSF is also proud of the work a great student-athlete and future Engineer Chelsea is putting in to use school and sports to improve life in Manitoba!
Most importantly, many thanks to all the kids and parents who came out to have fun and teach us about their community! The Community Feast at the end of the day was delicious and we are so grateful for the community being willing to share so much with us!
RSF looks forward to returning for more visits to Shoal Lake 40 in the future!
If you and your community are interested in RSF Summer Camps visiting your this summer please let us know! We would love to make it possible!!
